My wardrobe is filled with Raquel Allegra designs. I've been a major fan for quite a while now and still love her work, season after season. The silhouettes are always cool, the tie-dye prints are rad, and the silky-soft fabrics drape beautifully. I seriously cannot get enough, which means on any given day I'm usually wearing at least one RA piece.
This eye-catching installation at the famed Merci shop in Paris, is yet another example of Allegra's incredibly cool work. To coincide with Paris Fashion Week and the debut of the Spring/Summer 2015 collections, she introduced her work for the first time in France with "To Live and Dye in LA, an installation full of poetry that highlights the designer's love for fabric, tie-and-dye and unraveling." It's quite beautiful and I'm sure it was even more impressive in person. I just so happen to be awaiting the arrival of a new Raquel Allegra purchase (a beautiful bordeaux-hued, silk-blend top). As I glance at the window looking for the delivery truck, I can't help but wish I could have jetted off to Paris to see this stunning display... For now, the photos will have to do. Hoping she does something similar soon in her hometown of Berkeley so I can see it in person. I'd even catch a quick flight to LA if she did something there. And I'll definitely be slipping into some new RA soon...
